Marshfield is home to the Marshfield-Wood County Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Chorale Campus-Community Theater. Productions, films, concerts and lectures are held throughout the year. The UW-Marshfield/Wood County campus welcomes and encourages the use of the Helen Connor Laird Fine arts Building theatres for the promotion of the performing arts within the greater Marshfield community.

The Helen Connor Laird Arts Building, completed in 1971, is the primary venue for the performing events on campus. The building houses the 340-seat Helen Connor Laird Theatre, the Fine Arts Gallery and the UW Box Office for tickets sales on the building's main level. The intimate arena-style Black Box Theatre and rehearsal and practice rooms for theatre and music students are found on the lower level.

The Chestnut Avenue Center is Marshfield’s newest venue for performing arts, visual arts, and literary arts. Located in a historic church building in downtown Marshfield, it’s a great place to enjoy concerts, plays, poetry readings, recitals, art gallery shows, and workshops. You’ll also find individual artists’ and musicians’ studios, recording/video services, and much more. Whether your tastes are for classical, folk or popular art forms, this is the place to connect with the arts – and creative people – in Marshfield!

Pittsville Area Foundation for the Arts is dedicated to advance the importance, development, and growth of the arts and cultural activities for community members of all ages. the non-profit organization was incorporated in May of 2000 for the purpose of scheduling, hosting, and coordination various events at the facility. Community volunteers continue to combine efforts to bring various performing arts to the Pittsville School Auditorium.
